    Cool DeWalt cordless tools

It's time to buy a new cordless drill and impact driver. I'm looking at the 18v system and have been checking out the U.S. products as well.

As far as I can tell, the 20v tag is just marketing hype. The batteries are 20V when not under load but 18V when in use. Has anybody investigated whether or not the American skins can be used on Aussie batteries?

    cheers,
    Peter

I should add too if you put a multimeter on the 18v battery they show around 20.9 volts at rest

    G'day Peter,
This company in the states often run very good specials on reconditioned Dewalt tools....
    Dewalt Tools
    Cheers, Peter

PS - I've bought Milwaukee M18 batteries & skins for the USA & locally and all have been interchangeable....so I suspect Dewalt would be same Cordless Tools | DEWALT Cordless Power Tools & Tool Kits
