    Default Bargain!!

    I recently was given a compressor from a friend when he moved out of town. He has a handyman business and said that the compressor was to heavy to lift in and out of the trailer and took a really long time to get to pressure. He bought one of the K-Mart deals with the second tank which he can fill up and take inside to do small jobs instead of dragging air hoses around.

    I got the compressor home and had a look. The reason that it didn't pump up to pressure well was because the drive belt was really loose. 10 minutes later I had the belt tight and the compressor in its new corner.

    Now works really well (especially for the price I paid ).

    Rowan, looks like it needs a bit of TLC so while you're at it, do an oil change. 30W oil and dont fill past the recommended mark.

    Hi Termite, the compressor does look well loved but it still runs well although I had never thought of doing an oil change. Thanks for the hint!
