Default Best blade for DeWalt Radial Arm Saw

    G'day
I have an old, but refurbished DeWalt 10" Radial Arm Saw (RAS). I have a negative rake 80T blade which works well for fine work.

I have various jobs coming up where I have to cut wide pieces of 30-40mm hardwood (Marri, Tuart and Jarrah). The fine blade burns the end grain of such hardwood.

I want to get a coarser blade to cut my boards without chipping and without burning. And without digging in.

I was advised a few years ago that you need a negative rake (hook angle) blade for a RAS. I've been looking for a negative rake blade with 30-60 Teeth, without success. Only fine blades seem to be available with a negative rake. I've read various threads here, and it seems that I don't need a negative rake, but I shouldn't have too large a positive rake.

I have only seen a couple of such blades in the shops I've visited, and I haven't been convinced that they are right for me.

What is your advice about the best blade for my purposes? Where can I get one?
    Thanks in advance.
    Rob

An internet video had mentioned blade differences.
Positive rake angle vs Negative rake angle.
Its up to the saw owner or operator to fully research this.
I'm going to suggest contacting the saw manufacturer and saw blade manufacturers for their professional advice.

The consensus on the DeWalt Radial Arm Saw Forum in the U.S. (see FAQ) is either the Freud LU83 or the Forrest WoodWorker WWI TCG. Be sure to look for the "Mr. Sawdust" special grind of the Forrest WWI, not the standard grind typically available from Forrest. I've used both blades on my DeWalt 7990 radial arm saw and have been very happy with both. The Forrest is a somewhat better overall performer, but the Freud works great.

The Freud LU83 is available in Australia from Amazon:
Freud 10 In. 50 Tooth Thin Kerf Combination Saw Blade with 5/8 In. Arbor(LU83R010) : Amazon.com.au: Home Improvement

The Forrest "Mr. Sawdust" grind blade is available from Slivers Mill in the U.S.:
#WW10602100 | WOODWORKER I - TCG Design Used by Mr. Sawdust for Cutting a Variety of Material OUT OF STOCK | Buy Forrest Saw Blades Online

Note: both of these blades have a slight positive grind. A negative grind is decidedly NOT necessary with a properly adjusted and well tuned DeWalt Radial Arm Saw.

Further note: if you are a RAS user, you owe it to yourself to become familiar with the DeWalt Radial Arm Saw Forum cited above.

Negative rake angle. Tooth angle does not dig in so blade has less tendency to ride up on the wood surface.
I got the boss to buy us a negative rake blade for our Omga RAS after reading that theory; single worst purchase we ever made. The neg rake was completely uncontrollable, went back to pos rake and will never use a neg rake blade in timber for any reason.

We ran 14", 60T standard ATB (5 deg pos. rake, 15 deg ATB)

Just be aware whatever blade you settle on a blade with the above specifications does not exist.
