Default Bosch GCM 8 SDE sliding mitre saw-any good?

I am looking at this saw to use for a home workshop and want accurate, straight and repeatable mitre cuts.
    I would like a 216mm - 260mm sliding compound saw.
I have tried an entry level Makita LS0815FL (216mm)but very disappointed that cuts are not clean and straight. ( $440 )
The Makita LS0714 was very good but too small for my needs.
The Makita LS1019 looks good but too expensive $999
Both of these seem to be from the better quality range from Makita.

The Bosch GCM 8 SDE looks good and is from the Bosch professional range.

Any comments from current users are most welcome

i would take the time to make sure your fence and everything is setup up properly. i wouldn't trust it to be 90 deg from the box

I don't have the saw that you mentioned. I do own a Bosch Glide which I recommend.
The problem with 'type' of saw is the amount of space that you need behind the saw.
The Glide, on the other hand, allows you to place it right up against a wall, saving space in a workshop.
Have a look at this: https://www.totaltools.com.au/1800w-...-folding-stand

Thanks, but it looks like the 10" Glide has been discontinued - probably just above my budget anyhow. I have plenty of depth/space for the slide saw so no problem there.
Do you find the Glide is accurate & repeatable for finishing work eg. small mitres etc ? I did like the look of it & will keep an eye out for a special.
I was hoping the 81/2" Bosch would be recommended as I have a good blade I bought for the Makita before it was returned

I have the 12" Glide which I like for larger jobs, but I don't use it for small things.
For small and finer cuts, I prefer to use the Nobex hand mitre saw. Together with the Japanese blade, It is a delight to use and more accurate than any electrical mitre saw that you can buy. It's amazingly fast because the blade is so sharp.
