Bosch GEX 40-150 ROS
Hi all,
I currently have a Bosch GEX 125 AVE Professional ROS which is permanently connected to overhead dust extraction inside the shed. It is too cumbersome to move everything outside and a real pain in the proverbial to disconnect it from the dust extraction and unthreadle the power cord to use it outside. I rate this sander fairly highly and so for the past 12 months have been trying to buy another one or its successor the GEX 125-150 AVE Professional. Both of these are well and truly superceded and not available anywhere that I could find.
It appears the new Bosch model GEX 40-150 is now available but only in 150mm. Does anybody know if this model will accept a 125mm backing pad. The reason being I have literally a couple of hundred 125mm velcro discs and don't want to have to duplicate everything in 150mm discs.
Anybody able to assist.
Regards
Twosheds

G'Day Twosheds,
You could give De Rossi Industrial in Lidcombe a call.
They've been a major repairer for Bosch for 30yrs that I've dealt with the owner, George.
Cheers Peter

Seems like they are still available here and they have both the 125 and 150mm pads. They can be brought online from this site.

Thanks Crowie and Treecycle. Still can't find one, the Bosch website link shows no stock at the retailer. And no old stock at de Rossi either. Plan A is no go.
The Bosch website shows the part number for the 150mm backing pad on the GEX 40-150 is different from previous models 150mm/125mm pads. So no installing a 125mm pad. Plan B is no go.
Looks like I will be implementing Plan C which is the 125mm Metabo SXE 425 Turbotec. It gets favourable reviews, is similar price and is available just down the road a little bit. Also saves me buying a load of 150mm sanding discs.
Thanks
