Default Bosch plunge saw twisted base.

Hey all. I'm considering purchasing a Bosch professional GKT55 GCE plunge saw. Only issue I have is the twisted base you read abt online. Has anyone purchased one and noticed the twist? If so does it affect the cut? I seen there's a fix for it only to read that it's not really a fix cause it puts the cut out of alignment. I went into totol tools and noticed on the display one it was also twisted in the base. Should I just purchase a dewalt cordless to match my existing tools.

I just noticed that when it sits slotted in the tracks there's no evidence of wobbly. It looks sturdy.
Any assistance would be appreciated. Thanks

Nope there's movement while sitting in the rail. Such a shame. I was hoping it was just an urban myth.

Bummer about that. I was put off by that as well and ended with the Festool. The Bosch track did look better but the Festool works fine and the saw is really great. Good luck.

Did you have a look at the Makita - I liked it as well.

Hey mate. Yeah the boys at work have the makita but I wanted the bosch for the extra power and their specific tracks. I don't like the join in the makita tracks. I want to in the future upgrade to the mafell who make the bosch. So the swap over shouldn't be so bad.
My boss has a mafell and the festool. The festool is nice but way to expensive for myself and cutting into hardwood sometimes struggles. The mafell is like the virgin daughter you hide away from everyone but only bring out to parade infront of others. I've touched it the once. I swear like Moses, I felt the power of God and my hair went white.

After the fix I bought it. The fix actually works. Time to play with this baby. Misalignment due to the bevel knobs being too tight. She's flat baby..

Good one. I read online somewhere that it was an easy fix. Glad it worked out for you! The Bosch tracks are the winner especially if you are joining them. Enjoy!
