Broken belt
G,day all, went to the shed after tea for a quick play, fitted the dadoe blade to the Jet supersaw and as I turned the handle to lower the blade, the belt that operates the height mechanism broke.
I have had a search on the net for a replacement but nobody seems to sell bits, at least not online.
Where is the best place to look?
I am in victoria and a looooong way from melbourne.
Any info would be appreciated, Thanks in advance.
Cheers Stevenp

Steve, send a pm to Big Shed, he had a link for a guy who had a JTAS.
In the link he upgraded the belts - its a thing that a lot of Yanks do regardless of the brand. From memory they look like a rubber chain with multiple links.
As far online ordering, if you send Colin at Northwood Tools an e-mail saying:
Part Number you are after and your serial number of your supersaw then he can order you a replacement part.

Try Woodworking Warehouse, Braeside. Someone (may have been one of their team) mentioned these belts can be a problem if you do not adjust and/or clean dust regularly.

If the belt has just broken cleanly and is not perished -- use SuperGlue (CA) and rejoin ends. Have saved many a belt this way.

Just got off the phone to Woodworking warehouse in Melbourne, they have 2 in stock and will post both of them off today. $20 each so I thought a spare would be a good idea. Thanks for your help.
The hurrier I go, the behinder I get.

Steve its a fiddly one to fit. When you take the shaft out (conected to the hand wheel) there is a "u" shaped bracket that has to be removed. For such a simple problem Jet has made it a tricky one. When you come to fit it, PM me if you have a problem and ill help you out
