Smaller buffer needed.
Hey,
I'm after a small buffer to do some finishing work on some smaller projects . I have a 7" for the car but for the smaller stuff its too much of a risk of it grabbing and throwing the object to the other side of the shed. Have been using a cordless drill with a back up pad and a woolen hook and loop buffing pad but there has to be something out there similar to the common car buffer just smaller. Any clues.I couldn't repair your brakes, so I made your horn louder.

Possibly too small, and works on the rim instead of the face, but Dremel sells a felt pad about 1" diameter x ~1/4" thick. Mounts on a screw arbor IIRC. Use the lowest speed setting, or it may remove the finish of whatever it's polishing.

Yep have already got myself some of those. Got them off ebay from the UK, there great for the real small stuff have attached pic of the set I bought. Cost a little over $22 for the set of eight. So now I'm just after that buffer in between the size of the dremel and the car buffer.I couldn't repair your brakes, so I made your horn louder.

Buffers usually run at much lower revs than grinders.

To set up a grinder for use as a buffer would be more hassle then its worth. But something the size of a small grinder is what I'm after.

I use a flexible 5 inch rubber pad on a drill chuck sized arbor , with a sheepskin wool pad that fits over it .
Both came from the hardware store.

Yeah I think I may have to continue using this method for the time being.
