Default Buy or see anything cool at the Wood Show?

I went to the Perth wood show - my first ever and chatted with a number of people buying cool stuff. I went there with the intention of buying a Bandsaw and ended up getting a Festool Domino complete system as well. I bought it from Beyond Tools and saved a bundle of $$$$ compared to pre-show 'best pricing'

For the Bandsaw, I selected the Timbecon TBB-14 which was over $200 cheaer than normal. I think this is very similar , if not identical to, the Hafco BP-355.

Anyway I chatted to a number of people buying cool stuff and was interested in what you picked up or thought was interesting

I've got the TPP-14 and am very happy with it.

The only thing I bought from the show was a Nicholson #50 pattern makers rasp.

I met some lovely people though, and learned some more.

    Default Wood show purchases

I had a very enjoyable day at the Wood Show. Bought a number of router bits and an extension collet for my Makita router. Stayed and watched Roger Gifkins demo his jig and spoke to him about his jig, router bits he uses etc.
Also had a chat with the guy from the inventors, (can't remember his name).
Some lovely furniture on display. Wish I was as good as some of those guys!

I took the day off on the Friday brought the family. I bought a Carba-tec CTH-110 tablesaw at $500 off RRP with free delivery.

The highlight for me tho wasn't entirely woodwork related. At Stan Ceglinski's traditional woodwork demo he made a cricket bat for my son who'll be three at the end of the month. He took him into the demo arena and gave him his new bat, then tossed him a 'ball' made of an empty coke can. Ben knocked it out of the arena several times. The crowd cheered and I was so proud.
