Where to buy Makita spare parts?
Does anyone have any recommendations for where to get good service and prices for Makita spare parts?
I need to replace the front roller assembly and the plastic separator in the blower on my 9403 belt sander.
I've found a few online, and my local Trade Tools store is chasing down a price on Monday. Of the places I've found online, prices vary wildly, with some parts being more than 3 times the price of other places.
TIA.

A couple of year ago I purchased switches & brushes for an old Makita router & planer on eBay. They were from Great Britton and better price than I could find elsewhere for genuine parts.
If you need bearings, just go to local bearing shop with the old ones as reference.

I go online and find a diagram and identify the part number. I ring up Makita to verify the part number and make sure it’s available ( they are very helpful), then I order it from my local Hardware or Bunnings.

I've ordered Makita spares and accessories from Total Tools with success. Recommend you go in with a part number and/or a good description or image.

I've been using the Tool Store at Kirrawee in Sydney for a while. The website works but it seems to be better to ring them...

You couldn’t do better IMHO than DeRossi Industial at Lidcombe.

As above I just use bunnings for convenience. You need to know what your after, part number etc, but the prices seem reasonable and the wait times not long provided makita have the stock.

Update:
I got prices from 2 online stores and one from my local Trade Tools store.
Online store 1: $125.00 incl shipping
Online store 2 : $88.00 incl shipping
Trade Tools: $73.00 but need to pick up. Only 3kms away, so not really an issue.
Surprised that the online prices were that much more than the bricks and mortar store.

I have a sneaky suspicion that online stores have jumped at the opportunity to make extra $$ while we are supposed to stay away from the real stores.

I had the worst online shopping experience with that crowd when buying Makita parts. Kept telling me it wasn’t in stock with the manufacturer but Makita told me they had heaps in stock. Dragged on for over 6 weeks. Slow to answer both phone and email. Finally got my money back.
After all the problems I did a search online for reviews. Absolutely terrible. Most matched my experience.
They must have done a full 360 if their service is decent now.
