Default Carba-Tec 635mm Wide Drum Sander - Single Drum

Hi there, I'm in need of a wide drum/belt sander and considering the Carba-Tec 635mm Wide Drum Sander - Single Drum. Does anyone have any opinions on this model? I was also looking at the twin drum (it's bigg brother) but have been told that the second drum doesnt really work anyway so there is no point. Is this true?
I'm open for options if anyone can recommend a different brand. It does need to be at least 600mm wide though for bench tops.

    Thanks guys

I could be wrong but I thought the idea for the second drum was to put a higher grit paper on thus cutting your sanding time, and need to change the paper on a single roll.

Thas true. I have just been told that it doesnt really work that well as the adjustment for the second drum are not that good.. That was just one opinion though

I think Major Panic's got one of the Carbatec dual drum units, maybe send him a P.M ?

I have just posted a thread indicating the same problem, with a twin drum Carbatec. If I find a solution I will post it.

I'm tipping after 14 years they've either figured it out or have lost interest
