Tablsaw out of alignment
My 10" contractor saw Carba tec model was misaligned so I pulled out my aline it deluxe and started tapping away, both sides of the blade gave me a reading of zero so I thought great it worked. I made a test cut and guess what it was out again just under 2mm so I went underneath loosened up the bolts and did it again and I did this backwards and forwards for an hour. I ditched the aline it deluxe pulled out my combo square and did something comletely different to the norm, I set the square against the mitre fence to the blade and I saw exactly the same distance of misalignment like in my test piece while my so called trusty aline it deluxe didn't so once again I aligned the blade, tightened everything up and presto she's aligned.
So I ask why, I paid good money for that deluxe thing andI'm sure it works but why didn't it work for me.

Hi
There are 2 different alignment issues you have one is to align the blade to the miter slot
then you need to align the fence to the miter slot , once you complete that it is aligned correctly

Thanx for pointing that out to me it was half a mil out but all good now, I have an incra fence the problem with them is you have to tighten one side of the bracket on the rail but still there is a little play if you tighten it to no play then you can't move it so it's a little stiff which I know pose some problem but it's square.
