Default Changing Blades on Ryobi Tablesaw

Right.....without any swears.....here is my question.....how do I get a blade on a tablesaw off a worn shaft?

There is currently a 60t blade on my Ryobi ETS1526AL tablesaw, I want to change it out and put on a 24t blade so I can do some ripping. The saw is about 2 years old and has had fairly light use and has been used for cutting thin sheet, hence the 60t blade.
When I've tried to remove the blade it sticks on the groove that it has worn into the shaft.......there are signs of slippage on the side of the blade but nothing extreme and yet I can't get the blade out over the lip on the groove.

Anybody else (I know you're out there) had this problem?

Was there a non-spectacular solution to the problem?

Honestly, I was expecting the motor to blow up before the shaft wore out....that's why I bought the 24t blade...easier for the motor than the 40t when ripping....looks like I might not get to use it.
We don't know how lucky we are......

Now that I've used it as a ripsaw the fence made me roll about laughing.......

Just for those that might want to know but are too embarassed to admit they have a cheap TS.....blade removal was accomplished by having a good nights sleep to calm down and then, using the edge of a smallish bastard file, carefully filing down the ridge on the shaft that was trapping the blade.
Fit 24t blade and consider leaving it there.

On a positive note the LOML said "It's only a cheap saw, why don't you buy another one and just use one for ripping and one for sheet materials?"
    She's muh babe.
