Cheap mitre gauge wanted?
G'day,
I'm looking for a cheap, nothing spectacular and simple mitre gauge. Anyone know where in the Eatern Foothills area of Melb' that I might find one? Sure C/T have them but at $39 but for what I'll be using it for that's way overpriced as I just want to use it on my sharpening jig on my b/grinder.
Total Tools and Bunnies don't have them.
I've searched the net for about an hour now trying to find a supplier and no luck.

Buggered if I can find a cheapy, I only want it for my linisher table. I don't need a $100 ubeaut, ridgy didge, bells and whistles type. Asked at Bunnies, got the "It's an accessory, you'll have to order it"

Chris, try Woodworkers Warehouse in Braeside, bought mine there, can't remember how much but was well under $39 a couple of years ago.

G'day Sean,
Do you know if they have a website? Been trying to do a search for them while the Forum was down but no luck.

Chris, they are part of the Woodman group, here is their URL http://www.woodwarehouse.com.au/index.htm
You could also try Gregory Machinery's website in Brisbane as I think they are the main company in that group.

Waldo, if ya find a cheap one of "acceptable" quality let me know. I'm still looking for a replacement to go on my linisher. No sense in spending top $$$ when I know I'll have to modify the bar to fit!

G'day Skew,
I'll let you know when I find one. I found a protractor on eBay I might grab and at a decent price too.

Make one. If it only needs to be a right angle then there is no problems at all; Two bits of hardwood and I'm your uncle.

Mitre Gauges
Hi,
For those who may be interested I have placed a range of mitre gauges on ebay last night. Go to Business & Industrial> Manufacturing & Metalworking>Woodworking>Equipment and Machinery.
Direct link is:
http://cgi.ebay.com.au/MITRE-GAUGE-f...QQcmdZViewItem
These were in a woodworking equipment auction lot that I won recently. I was really only after the Base Plate for my Hitachi router and as usual I also got a lot of stuff I have no need for.
