Well, my second trimmer arrived. It is identicle to the kit reviewed in the UK Woodwork Forum (Anesty Brand), which I finally tracked down on Ebay Australia. UK Link https://www.woodworkforums.com/attac...5&d=1548410314.
It was immediately obvious that more effort has been made with the Anesty machine. Each item was individually boxed inside the main box, not just wrapped in bubble wrap in one large box. The bases move much more smoothly on the body and locking the adjustments is more positive. The gear notched in the trimmer body are more defined and the markings are clearer and more accurately placed. BEST OF ALL NO STRANGE NOISES FROM THE MOTOR.
I was very happy with the information promptly provided by the one seller I purchased from on Ebay.(Toolspro Kit was $119 with 3 bases) Before purchase I asked if the trimmer had a spindle lock and if it was Vevor brand. I was promptly advised that it does have a spindle lock and that and was Anesty brand.

I am confident now that I have managed to purchase the item that had good reviews in the UK, I will have much use out of this new tool.

Here is another photo of the Chinese one I purchased. It looks different to your Vevor ...
And the Makita I have ...
Both sound the same.

Handyman51, would you mind posting a link for the eBay Anesty you purchased?

A lifter for the 710W trimmer?
Resurrecting this ancient thread....
I saw this lifter on eBay... finally decided to buy a plugged-in trimmer to go with my hand one.
I'll use a little bit of MDF as the base with a swivel as the fence - I'm TRYING to get back into hand made boxes
Has anyone seen these things? Are they toys? eBay seems to have a rather large number of sellers of these and I don't recall seeing any a year back.

Evan, the lift and plate are available discounted on Aliexpress for less than half the ebay price. Ebay was about $ 160 for both and Ali is about $70 + shipping

Might be worth trying the cheaper option.
Also, I looked at the Ebay feedback on a number of purchases of this lift, and didn't see anything but positive feedback.
Hope this helps, Jeff

You are right to be wary WP. The Regents Park site these ship from is a warehouse used by dropshippers usually based in China. The particular seller you linked to is based in Singapore. If you check the listings offering these on Ebay I'll bet they're all being supplied from Regents Park. These sellers typically offer a very large range of products and a lot of what they offer is junk. They are unable to accept returns and if you're dissatisfied they generally offer you a small discount to keep the product. If you buy on Aliexpress at least you're being supplied directly by the seller.
