Waste of money in my opinion. I suggest you buy a decent mortising chisel instead.

It might be worth looking at one of the cheaper dedicated units, a bit more saving but possibly worth the expense in the end.

Got a drill press one that hasn't been out of the box in over 20 years. I've been doing them by hand all these years, but I finally picked up a Delta dedicated mortiser just before Christmas. I love it.

I had a Delta attachment for my drill press and it drove me bonkers. Spent a little extra and got a new Delta 14-651 mortiser and I'm in heaven. If you're going to dedicate time to the hobby, a mortiser will be a well worth it investment for the long haul.

I noticed that Ozito have one for sale at Bunnings, I saw it there about a week ago. I don't recall the price though but do remember it wasn't all that much though.

I would probably try a wet noodle before I spent money on an Ozito mortiser.

My experience with their tools has been very bad, on one occasion getting away with a near miss from an exploding angle grinder gearbox, and would not recommend them to anyone.

Unless one is in the mass production business, what's wrong with drilling and chiseling? It's supposed to be a hobby, eh? Enjoy it I say

    Question ?Que?

Not knocking chisellers who want to muck about with mortices/mortisers, but why is this thread in a turning forum?

Righto mate, I'll let you have the work done at mates rates, say $100/Hr - trouble is that I work slowly and unpredictably

Slow, unpredictable at $100 per hour? I didn't realise you were a plumber!

I'd rather be chiselled outta my dough by someone else thanks!

Really? It shows under hand tools at present, maybe it was moved.
