Chuck jammed, Makita power drill
Hi all,
I was using my Makita drill (standard 240V jobbie) to drill out some fencing rivets on the weekend, and the keyless chuck seems to have jammed. It's not stuck per se - I can wiggle the two halves about 1mm - but it won't loosen off. I've tried everything down to putting one half in the bench vice for more grip.
Is there any tricks to un-jamming these things, can I disassemble it easily...? The drill's ~4 years old.
cheers,
Juffy
PS. I was going to make the topic Stuck Chuck, but I'm not that juvenile.

Had the same problem.
2 x Stilsons and appropriate language got it open.
Sprayed with motorbike chain oil and it works ok.
