Circular saw hack
I've always been annoyed that the air moving through a circular saw was not directed in front of the saw to blow away the saw dust that covers the line you're cutting to. I put a bit of tube onto the blade lock on this Makita 5740NB where some air was escaping and directed it to clear in front of the saw. Kind of works, Mk2 to follow. Seems a good idea but I wonder if there is a reason for the manufacturers not doing anything about it.
Reality is no background music.

I've tried to work out why
Yeah I've tried to work this out, I think it's the rotation of the blade circulating the air in a way that is not easy to direct it in front of the saw. Though there is plenty of air moving through a saw, perhaps its just too expensive to do... or the designers haven't thought of it - just need to get them to try and cut to a line that is covered in saw dust instead of 3D modelling funky forms on their computers!
