Makita, 185mm (7-1/4") Circular Saw
$190 - $200. It is a very good saw in this price range.
does it suit you?

Gee Wongo when I first opened your post I saw the words "attached thumbnails" but fortunately it was referring to the photo.

If I had $100 to spend, I'd probably grab the GMC Platinum 235mm saw. Currently selling for $99 at various outlets. Seems like a reaosnable saw with a very solid baseplate.
How much wood could the woodchuck chuck if the woodchuck could chuck wood?

I have made a rocking horse and am very keen to make the second one. I do have 2 very good plans. I can tell you when to buy them if you like.
I am a computer programmer.

Sorry Wongo I didnt realise that was you who responded to my last thread.
It's just I think $40 is a bit much for a plan. Although I have never bought a plan and wouldn't know. I was hoping to get a free one off the net somehow.

Wongo would know better but perhaps if the project is going to take you 120 hours then $40 for the plans works out to be 33 cents per hour which is cheap entertainment especially if the plans help you make a really good rocking horse.

Blackyarder,
I hope we are talking about the same thing here. If it was the one on the right then you probably can get a free plan off the internet. The other one worth a lot of money and $40 for the plan is relatively cheap.
Cheers

Search for “rocking horse plan” on the google website. If you are patient enough you will find a free one.
