Coil nailer?
I'm up for a new coil nailer & thought I'd get some opinions on what others are using.
I'm a chippy so I'll pass on the GMC or any other el cheapo brand thanks. Was looking @ the Bostich, Duo fast or Hitachi coil nailers... Anyone used one or all of these? I used to have a duo fast which I was reasoabley happy with but thought the Bostich might be a well priced nailer that shoots wire & plastic collated nails with full dept adjustment.
Cheers
Grechy

I have a Max coil nailer, punches through tripple grips etc without a worry only thing that has ever given trouble was the ruber internal seal and that was my fault, I've used it on framing, decking, fencing and general fixing, I've set many thousands of nails with it

I use a MAX coil nailer for 22mm particale board flooring (red tongue) onto 1.6mm and 3mm steel joists. Done thousands of square metres with it, never had a breakdown. Occasionally get a double fire, but that I put down to operator error. It has some trouble firing fully home with the 3mm and in the joiners but a hit with the hammer sets them home. The Hitachi would be my second choice if the budget wont allow the MAX. Never used the Bostich machine so cant comment on it.

If you can afford it I could recommend the MAX CN890 coil nailer.
It takes wire and plastic collated nails from 45-90mm so can also be used for framing which makes it very versatile.
MAX nailers are made in JAPAN and are rated very highly in the US.Unfortunately not a well known brand in Australia.Check out there HIGH PRESSURE system on their website.www.alcav.com.au

Thanks for the replies. Out of interest, are you all using the CN890 or one of the other models such as the CN80F? Found a cheap ex demo model in the CN80F thought it might be a good buy

Hi Grechy,
I'm using the HN75 which is part of the high pressure system.
I'm not familiar with the CN80F.It must just be an older model.
