Contractor Saw TJ10G-MD
Have purchased one of these saws from Carbatec. Instruction book supplied does not have the same fence as supplied(Matter of fact the book and many features of the saw are quite different. Carbatec assures me it is the correct manual). The fence has the trade name Align a Rip. The front fence has a ruler on the left and right both starting with zero. Is there a correct position to bolt this front fence to the saw table? Also when the rear fence is fitted it blocks the mitre gauge from sliding past the rear of the table. Could I please ask for some advice?

Hi Mambo
Take some pics if u can so that we can better understand the problem.
Cant find that model number at carbatec. Perhaps you can go over to the carbatec site and copy a picture of the one you have.
Align a rip are fitted to a lot of carbatec saws and usually come in a different package. It would not be unusual for a different fence to arrive with the saw. Align a rip are a good quality fence IMO
hope I can help if you get some pics

The Sherwood 12" contractor's saw (from Timbecon) that I have has an "Align a Rip" fence, and it's actually quite good. No issues with it blocking the mitre slots either - are your mounting holes for the fron and rear fence rails low enough to clear the mitre slots? On mine this depthe is rather determined by the fence/rail configuration, but is, as said, just fine.

Timbecon MJ-2325
The Timbecon saw listed above I am sure is the same saw I have purchased from Carbatec. There is a good picture on the Timbecon website. I have looked at the rear fence and it seems I will have to redrill the holes to lower the fence to get clearance for the mitre gauge to slide past the rear of the table.
At the front I have bolted the fence to the table, however it can slide left or right on the bolts and with 2 lots of rulers where should I tighten it into position?

Hi
Try swapping the side tables around before returning it. You shouldnt need to drill holes to fit the table.
Wheres Wild Dingo when we need him, hell get it to fit.

G'day Mambo,
The MJ 2325 is the saw that I have.
The fence rails (front and rear) went on without any fuss or re-drilling at all.
