Maybe, but the replacement application didn't improve things !!

It's all turds to me.
I use 2 translators: Google has one and Microsoft runs another. The outputs don't match.
So you sit and wonder what the hell the guy said. I never keep track of the goody things.

Translating is an art form which is why computers currently struggle.

The translator needs to get across the intention of what is being said, which will often differ from a word-for-word literal translation.

If I remember it right, the system uses a huge library of books that are available in those languages to find examples for their translations.

I don't speak Canadian so I was unsure of what Robson was saying so I copied it into google translate and it gave me the Japanese sentence:
それは私にとってすべての糞です。
Clear as mud. So I copied the Japanese into Yandex translate and it said:
"It's all to me."

I am sure Robson knows what he means!

Besides the two translation programs that I mentioned above, there is another "DeepL" which seems to have broader vocabularies and is much better at handling word groups as idioms of speech.
I'm in a couple of European wood carving forums and DeepL is gaining broad approval. I have not spent a minute using it.

I read a "" = an incomprehensible word string, to learn that the program ran into an idiom that it couldn't handle.
I gloss over most of them but a few times, I really wonder what got lost in the translation.
