Dewalt 18v nailgun repairs
Have a Dewalt DC 618 18 v nailgun which worked perfectly for years but now starts ,lights on but when I pull the trigger no one is home ie doesnt shoot nail.
I have trawled the internet for all the usual things = rubber bands , rubber belt activates + fly wheel goes around , battery full voltage, nothing bent or jammed ,nails in OK , switches OK .
So took to Total tools they rang Dewalt who said its an American model[ I bought on ebay about 2008 before they were available here] so they dont want to help.
My theories are the trigger switch or solenoid ? I would rather repair it if possible .
Please anyone know anything or can suggest a helpful repair place ?

Dewalt Australia is about as useful as a chocolate teapot. Rang them 5 times before I could get to speak to someone in spares. Didn’t have a clue even though I gave him the part number FROM THEIR OWN WEBSITE!!
Prices for spare’s were over the top. I now buy from ereplacementparts.com.
