Dremel 400i question - lights are on but nobody home...
The title probably says it, but to be more specific, the LCD display is on, and the speed change button works, but the unit doesn't actually go. It's had very little use (mainly because it's been like this for around 2 years ). I've made sure that it's not just a dodgy on/off switch - it's very firm with no play.
There is no Trouble Shooting info whatsoever in what passes for the manual, and I'd rather not send it off for repair just yet in case it's something trivial that I can fix myself.
Anyone had this happen before?
Cheers
Brett

G'day Brett, Have you tried holding firmly on the motor brush holder covers; I have had similar issue with mine and now I have a "big red postie rubberband" tight around the motor brush holder covers to keep mine running. Hope it's that simple, Cheers, Crowie

Funny you should mention that Peter. The doors look a bit suspect (and feel like they are going to break if I open them). I think I tried squeezing them, but I'll pay some more attention to that. Cheers!
