G'Day Ratchet, I know a little about Dremel. They run really smooth and are weel made, but, like all things, they eventually die. No matter, you get a new one from the shop and take it home, where you sadly find that those reall fancy extras do not fit that model, and the old one will cost too much to fix.
I had one die, and now have the router tool that will not fit the newer models. Despite that, the many other devices that do fit, do a great job.Buzza.

i have a dremel (not sure which model) for about 5 years or so just use it where nothing else will work maybe 3 times a year, any way i need to do something one day at a job and my dremel was about 3 hours away went to bunnings and brought the ozito version which takes dremel bits so if you are in luck the chain saw attachment should fit the ozitio,
when i am in my factory tommorrow i will bave a go at fitting it.
can not remeber how much the ozitio costs but it was bugger all.

I think the dremel in the pic must be one of the very early ones, my 20yo has a removable finger grip right behind the spindle. The grip screws off, allowing attachments to screw on firmly. In the pic the older attatchments slide over the metal inser spring shown, which provides some grip but does attach as rigidly.
You should be able to run the stones in the collet without the guide if you can judge angle, depth well enough.

dremel
I have owned a dremel for over 30 years and it get used a great deal . I cannot find the card but google dremel in Melbourne and you can buy a new collet to suit (there are three sizes I think). They also give seniors discounts. It is worth having all three as I get old dentist drill bits and the shaft sizes vary a great deal good luck
