    Default Drill Doctor

I finally bought a drill doctor. They've been discussed on this forum before, with some people (engineers) saying that we shoulf all learn to sharpen drill bits by hand. I agree with them to an extent, but I have to admit that I tried and failed. So I saw a new drill doctor for sale at $125.00 and jumped at it.

They're not as easy to use as I thought, but once you get the hang of them, they're brilliant. The drill bits come out beautifully sharp.

It's the 300, which is worth about $300 new. I have a local second hand shop that I attend instead of church, and every now and then I grab a bargain. They're a bit hit and miss with their prices, and I like to be there when they miss.

The best bargain I ever got from them was a Honda 4.4 KVA generator, in excellent condition, for $300.

    Others are:

A Snap-on tool chest in PC with about $100 worth of tools, for $200
The liquidarc MIG for around $350
A very serious Teng Tools collection for around $400
A WIA 140 amp Stick welder with new long leads and handle, $125
A brand new (in the box) genuine Honda 6.5 HP motor $300
A barelu used Makita trimmer with accessories, $25

And so on. Needless to say, SWMBO hates the place as much as I love it.

I bought one for Fathers Day (Yes I bought my own gift) and I found that watching the DVD was better than reading the manual (which I did). Watch the part where they set up and bit and you're 'good to go'
