    Default Drill Press help!!

    Hi there,

I'm looking at buying a second hand industrial drill press - 'Acraturn RF-30'. It is a drill press/mill machine. The only problem it has is the chuck/slide thingy is ceased. Other than that, it works perfectly. Sorry, I don't know what the correct terminology is
So when I pull the handle towards me to lower the chuck, it doesn't move. Is this any easy fix or should I look at another machine?

Any help is appreciated as I'm looking at purchasing this weekend.

    Thanks

Is the depth stop set to zero?
There might be some sort of safety catch (although I doubt it) that is preventing you from lowering the chuck.

    Hope this has been useful.
