I don't have a thicknesser but I do have the manual for the Up10-600 and UP12-600.

A great little machine if you don't mind the dust.They do require a little attention to tuning, especially the planer tables.

I can copy the manual and fax it to you but I'm not sure how you would get your No to me.

I had a thicknesser attachment for the pacemaker and seriously do not recommend using it. There is no power feed and the first bit until it gets onto the rear table is hairy. Kick back is uncontrolled except by your hands and the finish is not great.

It would be worth your while spending the money and buying a small 12" thicknesser for around $300-400. and for the record Dad and I pulled the attachment apart and scrapped it.

Thanks for the tip Wood Butcher. No point throwing good money after bad. I had a quick look at a TOOLEX 13" x 6" planer moulder at gasweld couple days ago. 2HP, 2 speed feed. Fair bit of money @ $995 but if the machine is good, I think money well spent. Do you know anything about this machine?

There a a lot of members here that have something similar to the Ryobi AP-13 planer and are happy with it. Would be a lot cheaper option since you already have the surfacer on the durden.

I have a manual for the Pacemaker if you need a copy few holes here and there from storage. All i can say is be very very careful with the jointer. it claimed half my little finger when it kicked back. i still have not used that part of the machine again . but the table saw side of it works great

Anyone with the Durden UP12/600 manual who can send me a copy would be much appreciated.

The lack of power feed on the Durden makes the thicknesser dubious.

After spending a fair bit of time fiddling with it I decided it's not worth the effort.

Mine has been left in the tool box since about 1980 unused. Maybe one day I'll think of a use for it.

Does anyone know how to remove the saw blade and spindle from a Durden UP12-600? I want to use a different saw blade and sharpen the old blade and sharpen the thicknesser/planer.

I hope you got that thicknesser attachment... I’m wondering if you have put up any posts on YouTube showing how to use the different functions on this machine?
Ive just “inherited” one & would like to use it much more.
