    Default Durden Pacemaker on Ebay

    Just saw this. http://cgi.ebay.com.au/ws/eBayISAPI....MEWA%3AIT&rd=1

Might be of use to some of the handy folk here.
Please note: This auction is nothing at all to do with me. I just saw it and thought I would pass it on.

I seem to recall one of these being on eBay a short while ago; the pics even look familiar

Looks a bit of a mongrel of a machine, safety wise

    eeeek !!!

Plenty of exposed whirly bits to get your dangly bits caught up in. If you follow the instructions to the letter it merely explodes - get anything wrong and you're really in trouble.

    Ha Ha Ha Ha!

I remember the first day I started work. I rememeber the boss saying to a guy.... "Use a pushstick!".... the guy was buzzing some hardwood stock.
Anyway.... in those days OH&S was something they used as a flavour enhancer in Chinese food..... So I walk past this guy five minutes later and.....zwip!.. off goes the end of his thumb, and hits me in the cheek. The boss wasn't worried about this guys thumb.... but ran towards me thinking I was hurt, because I a had blood dribbling down my cheek.

Looks like a bloody good and absolutley safe machine to me.

Fantastic little machines they are. Perfect for someone who has a small workshop and is willing to spend some time on doing it up. And how silly is the seller for not giving it a five minute clean and getting some better shots. Someone will end up with a bargain

I've got one of that model.
Reasonable machine for an old design.
    Blade don't tilt
The top lifts up and down instead of the blade
    bit overpriced in my view.

That's rather what that machine looked capable of  Perhaps I'll give that one a wide berth
