    Default Durden Pacemaker info needed

Brand new to this area. I have just picked up a Durden Pacemaker, unused for over 10 years and very lightly used previously- 2 problems I can see. The table wont lift or lower, maybe seized or possibly I havent released the right locks. I am soaking the tapered slides for the table in penetrating oil but really am in the dark on this one. The other issue seems electrical as the switching seems unreliable. I may have to take the table off the base to sort these issues. anyone out there got any bright ideas?? Thanks Fredsta

Hi, you might be able to download a manual or something similar here for the Pacemaker

    http://www.axmell.com.au/durden/ABOU...out_Durden.htm

I have the Junior Joiner, and I purchased a manual off this mob last year.
    Hope that helps

The switch tends to get clogged up with dust and needs regular cleaning.

The same with the worm drive cogs which raise the table.
Don't force it, use a bigger hammer.

Timber is what you use. Wood is what you burn.

If you unbolt the shroud from around the bas of the table you will find the worm gear some times the small allen key comes loose and allows the gear to freewheel.

Thanks for all your help and advice. The table miraculously freed itself up after a good bath in lanoline and the switch issue is nearly sorted (dicky buttons) What a great little machine. Fredsta
