    Can anyone tell me about the jet bench top edgebander (approx $600),Is it much better than an iron ?. I do a small amount of cupboard work only.

    Yes its infinitely better than an iron. I certainly think its worth the money. You should also buy the hand edge trimmers and end trimmer for about $50.
