    Default Electric Staple Gun

Anyone here used an electric staple gun? Good/bad?

I need to do a bit of upholstery on the bike, and need to drive staples into reasonable tough plastic - I get maybe 2mm penetration with the hand operated one! Don't have a compressor nor a budget for one.

Well I went ahead and bought one - $63 or so from Bunnies. After initially disappointing results (bent staples with no penetration) I changed to a thicker staple and now it gets driven home We have a winner, it would seem.

I don't think tacks and a hammer would be appropriate for what I am doing  I am going to convert my bike to single seat so I can save some rego...

    Default Electric stapler/Bradder

I have a Black and Decker electric bradder/stapler I use for occasional use

I am very happy with it on that basis

For serious use I would buy an air tool

Be carefull buying staples particularly, B&D sold me some staples with the correct numbers on the box but they would not fit device

    good luck

Yep, for what I want to do, it will be fine. If it only does the 2 jobs I have for it and dies, it will have paid for itself quite easily. Did see a Bosch unit for $185...but if I get serious, it will be time to evaluate the aircompressor option.

Well I can report that the cheapo unit from Bunnies wasn't much chop. It jammed frequently, and didn't have a lot of punch.

I took it back to Bunnies and got them to exchange it as part payment for the bosch unit. Bosch unit was $224 at Bunnies and $182 at M10, so I got it for $163! (matched, then 10%)

I'll not hear another bad word against Bunnies...
