Elektra Beckum Panel Saw
Like a few others in this forum I want to go a step away from the trusty Triton.
I can justify an upgrade if I can get a saw with;
1/ A scribing blade (I use a lot of veneered and melamine board)
2/ A decent cross-cut facility to break down 8' x 4' sheets.
3/ Rip fence capacity of at least 600mm.
4/ A tilting arbor to 45 deg.
Looking at the circa $5k price range the options seem to be the Carbatec / Hafco chinese offerering at slightly less than $4k but misses out on the rip width.
Or..........
The Elektra Beckum PKF255 V8 at around $5k for the top of 3 options
Does anyone have any experience with the Elektra Beckum machine? It's a big outlay and I want it to be the right decision.

Hi
A jump from the triton to a 5K machine, it's not a step but a leap away !!
Have you had a look at the Delta or Jet range, you can get an optional scribing blade and sliding table. It might end up cheaper and would fit all options.
On a side note, I'm not sure but it seems that Gregory machinery have the saw you are after for $3290
