Default Elu Impact Driver from Europe

    Hi,

Can anyone tell me if this driver will work in Australia.

    The charger is 230V.

    Thanks

As far as i know (working in the power tool supply trade), elu stopped producing machines a good few years ago (they were bought out ny dewalt, then B&D bought dewalt). And impact drivers are rather a new machine. I'm waflling...sorry. My point is in the Uk there are a lot of 'rip off' machines, very cheap chinese machines with a named badge stuck on them. Be carefull what you buy.

So that is no use and doesn't answer your question

    Thanks Matt,

    <o =""></o>

Reason I posted is because there was an ELU impact driver (12V) on ebay going for seems to be a resonable dollar amount considering it came with two batteries and charger.

    <o =""></o>

The item was billed as being equal to Dewalt only that ELU is branded for Europe , the seller went on to say “Dewalt” quality at less price…

Anyways you hit a nerve with your “cheap chinese comment” and other info, perhaps you saved me a few $$$.

Oh poo. That does look very much like a Real 'elu' machine. The batteries and charger do look very dewalt. They must still be badging machine elu somewhere in the world.

Were you the winner???? Hope so, and i hope my post didn't stop you bidding.

    So sorry,

    Matt.

Lol no I didnt bid (I got paranoid!!).

Better to be safe than sorry though - was waiting back to hear from seller in regard to shipping costs anyway- not worth buying if the shipping costs are ridiculous .

He has another up for sale - see what happens...

If it is 230V then you shouldn't have any problems using it here.
I agree with Mr Snrub, I like Mr Snrub's way of thinking.
