Bought their Electric planer. Good unit but you can't get right up to a corner with it.

Bought their Axe the other day. It's a block splitter type with a 2kg. head. Perfect
for the job I needed to do with it!

I find a bottle of the Aldi butterscotch schnapps on ice cream helps overcome problems with their other products....

We've bought a lot of different products over the last few years, and I reckon our satisfaction rate is about 50%. Bought the knife sharpener last week, and it does a brutal job of sharpening knives. I don't think the blades will last more than a couple of years if we sharpen it too often, and it blues the edge if you don't keep it moving fairly quickly past the wheel. And, boy is it noisy! If I was using it in a workshop I'd have ear protection, doors shut, and only use it during the day!
    Cheers, Richard

seems they have some more stuff on this weekend if you follow the OPs link? 3 year warranty mentioned on the twin saw ...

I find it a bit of a giggle really sometimes. My local one has Taurus brand cutoff saws for sale all the time ... or maybe it's just these 3 that no one ever buys?

My "spend50buckstocuttimeinhalftools" are all ozito or the lime green ryobi.

Obviously something you'll use repeatedly spend a few bills for something decent

Saw a fella builder in typical soiled shirt and pants, at the green shed today he was in and out in no time, in this trolley was three boxes of Ozito rotary hammer. No doubt it's a great tool.

Some friends have bought tools from there and are happy with them but none of them need to use them regularly like I do, their tools are no better or worse than all the other cheap Chinese stuff but if you are looking for quality, accuracy, ease of use, servicability and reliability look elsewhere, and be prepared to pay the difference.
To the OP, I was working with a plumber one day and he had an Ozito rotary hammer which doubled as a light weight jack hammer, I asked him ### he was doing with Ozito tools and he said a mate had recommended it, he'd had it for four years and couldn't kill it.
I bought one myself a few days later and can vouch that he was right on the money, I've belted the crap out of the thing and it's still going strong.
It sucks as a drill because it doesn't spin true but I've got a smaller Metabo rotary hammer anyway, for ripping off tiles or chasing out bricks it's a ripper, some cheap tools are worth the dollars.
