Grey siding
HI
My first plane purchase was one of these;
and i am still learning to use him.
Have been using it a little like a block plane to smooth some mitred/inlayed corners.
Looks like he needs a little brother.
Which of these block planes is best for general type work;
No 60 1/2 low angle
Number 103
or
Number 102
The main difference seems to be the blade angle.
P.S - I am hooked ;
swish.............swish...........swish............mmmmmmm

I've got a LN 60-1/2 and I reckon it's a great little plane. It would have to be my most used plane. I use it all the time.
I haven't used the 102 or the 103 so I can't really comment on them.Regards,
Ian.
