    Is it the original blade?

Probably it's getting blunt, and the standard blades aren't up to much anyway.

16mm mdf, you could cut it with a blunt butter knife...

nah not the original blade i changed it to the 6tpi for fine cuts it orginaly had 3tpi hook blade on it that was producing a realy rought cut so i changed it ,myabe it go somthing to do with the belt tension on the pulley that spins the blade causing it to bog down i have no idea

Well, the blade stops? When it does this, does the motor stop too, or do you hear the grumbling of a slipping belt?

With the doors open and the machine unplugged, can you rotate the wheels and blade easily? There should be very little friction.

Could also be the blade is undertensioned and slipping on the wheels...
I may be weird, but I'm saving up to become eccentric.

There is a limit to how small a radius that can be cut with a given blade, what size circle and blade are you working with?
