Hi Colze,
Did you end up buying the Milwaukee?
I'm thinking of buying one $1199 inc GST with a stand and a vacuum

Hi mate.
I ended up getting the Bosch 12 inch.
Ended up getting it from Bunnings.
After price matching and some vouchers i had it ended up being very cheap...
I used it for the past yr building out house including cedar ceilings, large jarrah deck, jarrah slats for gates etc and its been great. hasnt missed a beat at all.
Very impressed with it.

This isn't relevant to this thread any more but I'll never buy another Metabo tool.
I had a screw gun for about 4 years, it cost me over $500, and the clutch started slipping.
I took it to my local mechanic and he rang me two days later to tell me that parts were unavailable.
I found it hard to believe so I called Power Tool Specialists in Carlton who told me the same thing, the screw gun went in the bin and I'm finished with Metabo.

The Milwaukee sells very well when its on promo with bonus stand as they are a bulky saw. We are the national service centre for Milwaukee & as far as i remember we have only had one warranty repair.
If its for site i would also recomend you look at the Dewalt, its belt drive & pretty light & portable. For the last 4 working with wood shows its our number one selling slide compound saw. We order over 3 saws per show & usually only come back with 1-5 if were lucky
