No, I went out to buy it. Handled it and found it didn't suit me so I bought a Makita which should be not quite as good but fits me and does everything I need.

Yeah the Panasonic impact driver doesn't feel the best in my hand as well.
I'm leaning towards a Protool now....

You have to see what your job is. Do you want to repeat this process, or is this the end. A one time tool will do the job but will fail on 2 or 3. So choose as to what you want.

Yeah, you can get caught up in a mire of indecision. Most recently I bought the Festool 15+3 kit. I know it'll get lots of use in cabinet making, especially with the off-centre and corner chucks. I'd prevaricated on the compromises of various other brands but eventually bit the bullet and got the festool.

I spent the weekend installing new rafters, battens and a colourbond roof to my Mum's back veranda (approx 8m x 3m), using my new Metabo Li 18V drill/driver and impact driver I bought in a combo which also came with a 7.2V driver. The batteries (x2) are rated as 2.2Ah, and I think for the entire job I charged three batteries, none of which were fully discharged. Very impressed with battery life and the performance on the drivers themselves.
