Induction Motor- Saw
Can anyone tell me the benefits of an induction motor? I believe they are quieter than a normal motor. If so how much quieter? Are there any other reasons I would go for an induction motor?

Hi Boxer
I have the Delta TS which has an induction motor, it is very quiet. The noisy bit is cutting the wood. You can easily talk while its running.
Good luck

Advantages
A lot quieter, you don't have to replace brushes, they will run continuously all day.
Disadvantages
Generally much larger and heavier than brush motors for same HP so not suitable for hand held power.Cheers,
Rod
