Interesting
Today I was wandering the hall of a local Mitre 10 and my brother a tradesman introduced me to a new range of power tools called WORX They are a little more expensive than ryobi or GMC but cheaper than makita de walt etc. They appear to have the same sort of warranty 30 day satisfaction guarantee and two year warranty for light trade use and appear to be of good quality. Talking to salesman he said designed by New Zealand owner and made to spec in China. Appear really solid definately far cry from some of the crap out there. Ill post some scan of catalouge if any one is interested

Power tools
Hi Kiwioutdoors,
In the first issue of the new magazine "The Shed" which has just gone on sale in NZ they cover power tools fairly well. One comment worth noting was that many of the cheapest tools are designed for a 30 minute running life only. If you use it two or three times a year you will get a good long life out of it. In the end you get what you pay for. The Worx brand was mentioned but not much was said about it.
