Jet 10 Super Saw Price
Just got back a price for the "Jet 10 Super Saw" from Gregory Machinery in Brisbane. I also asked them for a price on the "Xacta Lift", which is an optional extra attachment for setting up your own router with the table saw which enables precision adjustment of the router.
Email from Gregory Machinery follows…
Sean,
Thank you for your email.
We currently have the supersaw in stock & it sells for $2175.00
including GST. Included in this is a "Bonus" 10" x 50 TCT combination
saw blade for ripping & cross cutting.
We only import the supersaw with a sliding table at this time. The Xacta Lift is also in stock and sells for $375.00 Including GST. Please contact me for any further assistance you may require. Regards, Len Lawlor
(Email received Thursday 24th July)
So I was wondering if anyone has heard of any better deals out there, or do you think it’s a good price?Sean@Oz

As far as I know, Gregorys and their counterparts in each state are the only ones who sell Jet, so the prices are likely to be the same. Gordon (Username 'ZYMURGY') recently bought one, so perhaps you should ask him. (I have the Jet JWCS cabinet saw, and I am very happy with it.) The supersaw looks great to me.

Sean,
I paid $2250. This was the sliding table unit. Also included 2 blades (Frued crosscut and Linbide Rip) as well as delivery to within 6" of it;s final resting place
So price is probably exactly the same.
I'd get the two separate blades, easy enough to change when required.
Gordon.

Thanks for the information Kenmil and Zymurgy
Big money needs big re-searching wouldn't you agree?
"delivery to within 6" of it;s final resting place
Zymurgy
One day I'll be 6 foot down and in my final resting place also

Speaking of 'resting places'.
Apparently, Bob Hopes wife asked him where he would like to be buried.
He replied "Surprise me". A comedian till the end.

Does anyone know if the Xacta lift is the same as the Rout-R-lift in the carbatec catalogue (p24). Looking at pictures of both, I can see no difference other than the Jet $375 and Rout-R-lift $495 with an insert set for a further $59.
