    Default jet price reductions

    Guys,

I spoke to one of the guys at Gregory Machinery in Brisbane yesterday and he told me they have reduced the prices on the jet tablesaws because of the strengthening dollar. From memory he said the supersaw has dropped from around $2100 to $1900. The contractor saws have also dropped by a couple of hundred bucks.

    Cheers,

    Garry

It is funny that there is a price reduction,I heard that there is going to be another JET dealer in QLD,who will import direct from Taiwan. It will be interesting to see how pricing will change over the next few months.

I had the opportunity to see the Jet Super Saw at the Canberra woodshow last week. I thought it looked pretty good for $2100 but $1900 would be even better.

It looked solid with plenty of cast iron on top. The dust extraction setup seemed a bit unusual. Having seen it I am not surprised that the dust collection is reportedly less than optimal. The salesman did acknowledge that this was an issue that users had identified. On the whole though, I was impressed.

I'd certainly love to have one for $1900 but I can't justify it at the moment.

    George
