#%*&#(! jig saws
have a Ryobi 18v cordless jigsaw and for the life of me I cannot get the (bleep)to cut a staright line. I have tried replacing blades using Bunnings Diablo ?? brand and for plywood or mdf. I try not to push it along but rather let it cut easily
If necessary I will dump the thing and buy a quality name brand.
thoughts, suggestions etc etcI would love to grow my own food, but I can not find bacon seeds

As much as I despise Ryobi it would be unusual for the tool to be causing blade drift as you are using reasonably quality blades. I suspect the blade may not be getting support from the thrust roller behind the blade.
1: switch the pendulum lever to “0”
2: flip the tool upside down and loosen off the two screws that control both the tilt angle and the thrust roller position. Gently push the blade back towards the roller then slide the roller forwards so the back of the blade engages within the slot, then advance it further but just a bee’s winky. Oh, make sure the roller does roll… give it a bit of lube if needed. Tighten the screws back up and give it another go.Nothing succeeds like a budgie without a beak.

Let us know how you go Tonyz. Using narrow blades designed for corners/curves should also help you determine the direction of cut

wonders of wonders
Chief Tiff cheers the blade was barely touching the roller, a slight tap here and bash there the blade sits nicely where it should and cyts straight. New blades and going slower all help.
Of course this is only until I get the table saw repositioned and set up again.I would love to grow my own food, but I can not find bacon seeds
