Laminator Trimmer
Hi
I'm thinking of buying a Makita trimmer 3709X. I need to get in a tight spot. Does anybody know the distance between the centreline of the collet to the nearest guide edge on the square baseplate? I understand the dimensions of the plate are 82 x 90 which may suggest the distance I have asked about is half the smaller dimension ie 41mm. Is a smaller basplate available or an offset baseplate?

There is an new Makita Laminate Trimmer model RT0700CX that comes with a fixed base, a plunge base and a tilt base. It also has an optional offset base. I don't think it is available in Australia yet.
Buy Makita RT0700CX2 Router Trimmer from Axminster, fast delivery for the UK

The RTO700CX is available in Australia now. $164 from Bunnings where I live, but only comes with a fixed base.
