Default Light Burn Golen Power tool

    Hoping for some advice here.
is this collectible or junk ?
I am thinking of selling it on but have no idea of what I should expect to get for it.
it has the major attachments , drill, saw, jig/ scroll saw but is missing the rubber backed sanding disc which had deteriorated and the doweling jig.
    cheers

    Depends.

There's a collector for most things, it's a matter of finding them.

Old metal bodied power tools can be dangerous so it has to either be a collector who doesn't want to use it or knows how to attend to any problems.
The mens shed I was a member of banned them use of any metal bodied power tool donations. There were heaps of them and it was keeping our shed sparky constantly tied up sorting them out. A couple were OK but IM+HO most are just junk.

My house framing uncle had a Lightburn and a B&D drill that he left behind amongst his tools when he went overseas and never came back. A few years later in 1967 he wrote to me and said, please send the B&D to me but I could keep the rest (still have some today) and I flogged that Lightburn hard with blunt drill bits and turning small grinding stones to sharpen (more like ruin) stuff. To prevent teh Lightburn moving when using it as a grinder I held it in a vice and squished it down so hard I crushed it and gave myself a decent boot. Dad got it fixed for $5. It was never quite the same but I used it for many years before it died

That Lightburn drill was my very first electric tool and was given to me for father's day in 1974.
It has never missed a beat and has enough torque to twist your arm off.
The accessories that came with it aren't much good IMHO, but the drill is a classic.
    I still use mine
