    Post Makita 5900b blade guard

    Hello,
    My retractable blade guard has split in half and I can’t seem to find a replacement online.
    I love this saw it’s a magnificent workhorse, so I’d like to get it repaired.
    I don’t think the guards are interchangeable between brands, is that right?.
    I may have to consider a repair option if they are sadly not available ?

    Thanks > Good thought .. if I can’t find the part on its own then that would be a cheap replacement option & then just e waste what’s left of the saw .
