Makita 9401 belt sander rubber on roller has disintegrated
http://www.ereplacementparts.com/ima...ta/9401_WW.gif
I was wondering if I can replace the rubber sleeve or do I have to replace the whole roller? (part 48 in the picture)
Prices for whole roller are $60-75 without postage from overseas.
I haven't investigated local Makita parts places yet.
Thankswine and wood
ahhhh yes life is good

Hi aljenit,
I had the same problem many years ago the roller surface disintegrated and I fixed the problem by cleaning all of the damaged material from the roller and pressed a piece of pressure hose of similar size purchased from a diesel fitter next door to our workshop on to the roller. I used my vice to press the new tube on to the metal roller it was a simple fix and I still use the sander today. Hope this is of some help.
Regards Rod.
