Hey Mate, the only place that I can think of you getting that part is Glenfords. If you want, you can drop your planer off with them, tell them what is wrong with it and they will either service it, or send it off to Makita for the spare part. They sell only trade quality tools which are Hitachi, DeWalt, Makita, Panasonic and Metabo. I have bought all of my tools from them and they have been really helpful. If you have any DeWalt tools, you could go direct to their service centre around the Manly area, which means that it would be serviced quicker. So if you also need to have any DeWalt tools serviced go their, but other tool brands, go to Glenfords.
Hope that helps!
