It doesn’t matter if they are from the Green Shed or not or what mainstream brand you buy as they are nearly all made in China although they do tend to carry the lower spec items in the respective ranges if their is an option but in a lot of cases it is same same.
Most of Bosch Profesional range is made in China too as is Milwaukee, Hitachi, Dewalt, Hilti etc
We live in a throw away society these days

You must have bought a lemon.
My Makita has been a great saw and hasn't failed once, and has done a lot of work over the years.
